PhysiBuild provided integral advice on acoustics, building physics, and fire safety throughout the entire project, from the design phase to final delivery. The project involved the conversion of an existing church and rectory, combined with a substantial new construction, housing a variety of functions including meeting spaces, a school, childcare facilities, a library, Kempen FM, and a senior support center.

The main challenge arose from the need to manage high noise-producing spaces such as the stage hall, dance hall, and multi-music room, while ensuring that adjacent sound-sensitive areas like the school, childcare, and office spaces remained unaffected. To address this, high levels of sound insulation, acoustic separations, decouplings, and buffer zones were incorporated.

Throughout construction, PhysiBuild conducted inspections to ensure that the acoustic solutions planned on the drawings were properly implemented. Upon completion, sound insulation, air tightness, and reverberation measurements were carried out to verify the effectiveness of the acoustic provisions.
