As part of the application for a permanent extension to the existing catering establishment at Vlierdenseweg 5 in Deurne, an acoustic study was conducted to assess noise radiation to nearby noise-sensitive buildings.

The study evaluated the noise impact of the catering function of the planned extension, ensuring compliance with the noise limit values set by the Environmental Management Activities Decree. Measurements revealed that the sound insulation between the existing café space and the neighboring house at Vlierdenseweg 7 is 66 dB in the pop spectrum. To meet regulatory requirements, the allowable music sound level in the existing café space is limited to 80 dB(A) for pop music.

This adjustment ensures that the new extension aligns with the required noise standards while maintaining a functional and enjoyable environment for the establishment's patrons.
